Questions to KTH Aeronautical Experts

The following letter motivated by the rejection by AIAA of the article New Theory of Flight
was sent today. Answers will be posted.

Prof Art Rizzi, prof of Aerodynamics KTH
Prof Ulf Ringertz, prof of Flight Dynamics KTH

Dear Art and Ulf:

My article New Theory of Flight coauthored with Johan Hoffman and
Johan Jansson submitted to AIAA J, has been rejected.

One of the two reviewers suggests that the authors take advice
from the aeronautical experts at KTH. I do so and now pose to you the
following questions:

1. Is our critique of the existing theory of lift and drag of a wing
based on the work by Kutta-Zhukovsky-Prandtl understandable?
    If not, in what respect?

2. Is our critique correct? If not, in what respect?

3. Is our New Theory of Flight understandable? If not, in what respect?

4. Is our New Theory of Flight correct? If not, in what respect?

Your answers will be posted on The Secret of Flight  which gives a more
complete presentation of the new theory.

Sincerely,

Claes

  1. hello,
having followed the development of your theory for a while, I am quite curious to hear what the referees/editor had to say; would you mind sharing that with us?
    Thanks!
