Germany/France/Sweden: War with Russia

Sweden, France and Germany all waged wars against Russia (1700-21, June-Dec 1812, 1941-45) and lost.

It seems that this has not been forgotten by the leaderships of these countries and that time has now come to seek revanche by escalating the US proxy war in Ukraine into a full war with Russia with victory guaranteed, even if the people has not been asked if they want to send their sons to the trenches.  

To guarantee victory military budgets are quickly tripled, conscription is planned and the delivery of weapons to Ukraine will get a new boost by eliminating any range restrictions to hit Russia. Effectively, a declaration of war has been made only awaiting formal confirmation.  

Are the chances for Sweden, France and Germany really better this time? Sweden has 10.000 soldiers, France 270.000 and Germany 180.000, none with any combat experience. Russia has about 1.3 million active with combat experience and 2 million in reserve, nuclear arms more powerful than the US, and hypersonic missiles which have no defense. Russia can take out the capitals of Sweden, France and Germany in one first strike without nuclear warheads. The nuclear umbrella of France is rusty.  

These facts are hidden to the people by big media directed to send the message that like in 1914 war (now with Russia) is necessary and a victory will be quick. The defeats have not been forgotten. Karl XII, Napoleon and H are waiting to come back..it is up to the people to stop this madness…

  

Stupid Swedish Foreign Policy

All political parties in Sweden from left to right have come to a historic consensus on foreign policy:

1. Trump is bad even if what he now does is to continue the politics of Biden: Genocide in Gaza, proxy war against Russia in Ukraine and bombing of the Houtis. 
2. Putin is bad and the only way to stop him from invading Sweden is to participate in the US/NATO proxy war against Russia in Ukraine with maximal military support.  

1. means that Trump will not come to help Sweden in case of Russian retaliation because of 2. Worst possible combination.

This is leading into catastrophe for the Swedish people, but opposition to this stupid policy is suppressed by very effective propaganda.

A better alternative is to come to a peaceful agreement with Putin by stoping sending Swedish weapons to Ukraine. This would open to rightful criticism of Trump without ruining Swedish society.

Major Shift in Sweden

The recent admission by the US government that the war against Russia in Ukraine is a proxy war initiated by US/NATO with objective to weaken Russia into regime change, has changed Sweden's foreign policy from brave opposition to Russian aggression, to instead Swedish aggression against Russia under safe shield of US/NATO as main aggressor. 

This changes the moral of the war completely, from protection of innocent victim of aggression to instead participating on the side of US/NATO as the perpetrator. 

For Sweden formed under social-democratic education for 80 years describing itself as humanitarian superpower way into the open door policies of up to 2015, this drastic shift from rescuer of victim to perpetrator will pose serious challenges. All political parties and main media have embraced strong Swedish participation in the US/NATO proxy war against Russia. With the roles now drastically changed all the political leaders and media asking Swedish people to go to war, have lost moral credibility and so will have to step down and the people will have to be re-educated. It will require a major shift.

   

How Much Will Sweden Have to Pay?

US has with Trump taken a radically new position vs Ukraine by acknowledging that it was NATO expansion that provoked the Special Military Operation in Febr 2022, which developed into a US/NATO proxy war against Russia with heavy destruction of life and land.

Trump now seeks to end the war (because he has no money) by coming to an agreement with Putin, while putting all blame on Zelenskyy and asking for compensation for all US weapons in the form of Ukrainian minerals. The moral is lacking since US/NATO started the war and for three years has pushed Zelenskyy to let Ukraine serve as battle ground. Not so nice.

In March 2024 Sweden joined the US/NATO proxy war against Russia with the stated goal of forcing Russia back to at least 2014, when the provocation erupted in the Kiew coup forming an anti-Russia regime later led by Z.  

Sweden has participated in the proxy war against Ukraine with weapons and training, about 70 Billion SKr, which will not be forgotten by Russia. Sweden drastically reduced military spending following the collapse of Soviet Union in 1991, from 3.7% 1960-1970  during the Cold War gradually down to 1% 2000-2010 and 1.5% 2010-2023 apparently because there was no perceived threat from Russia, with a rapid return to Cold War levels in 2024-.

The war will soon end on terms set by Russia, since without the US the Ukraine military will have to give up, and continued war efforts by Sweden/Europe will serve to nothing. 

Russia will thus emerge as the winner, and in war it is the loser who will pay. This mean that Sweden will have to compensate Russia for all lives lost. How much? Russia will not forget, nor the Ukrainian people.    

And what will the Swedish people say when they understand that they have misled into a catastrophe by the all the political parties from left to right?

Let us use elementary computational mathematics to set the bill:

• Swedish weapons: 10 Billion Euro
• Russian soldiers killed by Swedish weapons: 10.000 
• Value of lost soldier: 1 million Euro
• Swedish repay to Russia: 10 Billion Euro.
• Swedish State Budget: 60 Billion Euro

So Sweden has to pay another 10 Billion Euro to break even at a total cost of 20 Billion Euro for nothing.

Swedish Stupidity

Sad to say the following video all too well describes the Stupidity of Swedish Foreign Policy of today:

In March 7 2024 Sweden gave up its 200 years of neutrality by joining NATO in its proxy war against Russia to expand NATO into Ukraine. This happened without debate over night and since then the Swedish people has been led by massive propaganda to prepare for war with opposition to war efficiently suppressed. 

Bonhoeffer says that stupidity has no moral, which in Sweden today is expressed in the mantra that the death of 1 million Ukrainian soldiers is justified because it has saved Sweden from Russian invasion.  

Bonhoeffer’s Argument on Stupidity

1. Stupidity is more dangerous than evil – While evil can be confronted and exposed, stupidity is much harder to counter because a stupid person is often unaware of their own ignorance.
2. Stupidity is not an intellectual defect but a moral one – Bonhoeffer did not see stupidity as a lack of intelligence but rather as a failure to think critically or ethically. It arises when people allow themselves to be manipulated.
3. People become stupid in groups – He observed that individuals often lose their ability to think independently when they conform to mass movements, propaganda, or authoritarian regimes. Stupidity thrives in environments where people surrender their autonomy to power.
4. Stupid people are resistant to facts – Reasoning with a stupid person is almost impossible because they refuse to listen to reason. Instead, they cling to slogans and ideologies fed to them by those in power.
5. The only way to counter stupidity is through inner liberation – Bonhoeffer believed that true wisdom comes from a deep ethical and spiritual awakening, not just education. A society can only free itself from stupidity when people take responsibility for their thinking.

Sweden Continues War Against Russia

The Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson is together with European leaders in Kiev to give support to continued war against Russia on Ukrainian land expressed in the following joint statement Febr 24 together with the Presidents of Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine and the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Norway:

• We unequivocally condemn Russia's ongoing illegal, unprovoked and unjustified full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. 
• Our main priority is to strengthen Ukraine. We will further bolster our support. 
• Europe needs to demonstrate its leadership .... to achieve peace through strength.
• We pledge to provide more support to Ukraine, including air defence and ammunition. 
• We will continue to put maximum pressure on Russia, including through sanctions and measures against the shadow fleet to constrain Russia. 
• We underline that just and lasting peace will not be possible without accountability for Russia’s international crimes.
• Together, we also continue to support Ukraine on its irreversible path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership.

This is nothing but a declaration of war against Russia by Sweden &Co. Peace is War. War is Peace.

US will seek an agreement with Russia and leave the fighting to Sweden &Co. Sweden has less than 10.000 soldiers to do the dirty work, including 600 young men and women sent to Latvia for 6 month service.  

Why is the Swedish Prime Minister leading the Swedish people and society into full destruction?  

Why does not the Swedish People stand up and say No to this destruction? 

Here is perspective from the side of Russia which must be part of a serious discussion seeking peaceful cooperation and not war.  The Swedish Prime Minister is not aware of such a perspective by listening only to Swedish Big Media.

Sweden Has Lost Again

Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard repeated Sweden's steadfast support to Ukraine/NATO in its war with Russia made clear in the previous post, by today expressing:

• Sweden stands strong.
• It is important to secure ourselves.
• This is a genuine Swedish interest.
• We take on our responsibility.
• We invest in our military defence. 
• We are now NATO members and we feel more safe than ever before.
• A prime interest of Sweden is to strengthen our support to Ukraine in order the get an agreement which prevents any further Russian aggression.   

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson adds that Sweden may send troops to Ukraine.

Both ministers have missed that Ukraine/NATO has lost the war and that talks between Russia and USA are now under way towards a peace deal where the winner sets the conditions. 

This means that the massive Swedish military support to Ukraine has been meaningless and has only contributed to destruction. A harsh reckoning by the people of those responsible for this disaster, now will start. 

Swedish Prime Minister Febr 19:

• More weapons to Ukraine.
• I do not think Russia wants any peace negotiations.
• Sweden is in a dangerous situation (since we are at war with Russia).

Sweden vs Russia New Match

In the Foreign Policy Debate today in the Swedish Parliament Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard opened by forcefully declaring:

• Sweden is in the midst of long term confrontation with Russia.
• Support to Ukraine is the Government's top foreign policy priority. 
• Our task is inescapable. 
• Sweden never stands alone.
• We will constrain Russias ability to do us harm, particularly through our support to Ukraine.
• We are guided by our belief in a free and strong Ukraine.
• Sweden has increased its support to Ukraine each year of the war, totalling 70 billion SEK.
• Russia's goal is to impose a sphere of influence with series of vassals and satellites.
• The war is determined on the battle field.
• For Sweden support to Ukraine is a moral obligation and an indispensable investment in our own security.
• Swedish land forces are now part of Nato's forward forces in Latvia.
• It is up to Ukraine if and when negations will start.
• Our unequivocal support....to make Ukraine's position stronger.
• Pressure on Russia's war economy must increase.
• Our military support to Ukraine must be strengthened... now its 18th military support package the largest to date.
• The only sustainable peace is one that Ukraine achieves through strength.
• Negotiations from a position of weakness would only further Russian aggression.
• Sweden will continue military support to Ukraine as long as it takes.

So Sweden is again at war again with Russia to be added to this long list of wars from 1164 to 1809 when Sweden lost Finland in the Finnish War between the Kingdom of Sweden and Russian Empire.  

But this is forgotten by the Swedish Government, which instead lives in a fantasy of repeating the glorious victory in the battle at Narva in 1700 when a Swedish army of 10.000 soldiers lead by warrior King Karl XII overpowered a Russian army of 40.000. And Sweden won Hockey WM against Russia in 1957 and 1987.

Short story: The Swedish Government is not well informed, because of lack of Intelligence?

One Million Ukrainian Soldiers Have Died to Stop Putin from Invading Sweden

In a recent interview Trump said that the expansion of Nato to Ukraine is to be blamed for the war in Ukraine with more than one million Ukrainian soldiers dead so far. Trump said that the war must be stopped immediately to prevent further killing, but that he will wait until after inauguration. 12 days with 24.000 more soldiers dead? The World now asks: Will Trump be stopped before he has stopped the war?  

Meanwhile, the Swedish Government continues its steadfast support to war with Russia by supplying even more high quality Swedish weapon systems with the argument sold to the Swedish people that if Russia is not defeated in Ukraine, then Sweden will be invaded. So far one million Ukrainian soldiers have died to save Sweden from invasion by Russia, but not a single Swedish soldier...

Elsa Widding Unique Voice of Logic in Swedish Parliament

Happy Swedish Defence Minister signing DCA giving Swedish territory to US military.

Elsa Widding is an admirable Swedish parlamentarian carrying a unique voice of agreement with Russia to stop the war in Ukraine, in a Swedish parliament filled with war enthusiasts. She opened a debate today with Swedish defence minister Pål Jonson on threat scenario to Swedish security with a reference to my blog post A Logical Analysis of Swedish Foreign Policy stating a contradiction:

1. The only way Sweden can win the war against Russia in Ukraine is to start WW3 in which Sweden will loose. 
2. In short: The only way for Sweden (or West) to win the war is to lose the war. 

Unfortunately Swedish defence minister Pål Jonson, along with the Parliament minus Elsa Widding, is incapable of logical reasoning and so continue to send more weapons to Ukraine with the stated objective of winning a conventional war against Russia, while knowing very well that this is impossible and so simply denying the lack of logic of 1-2. 

But lack of logic is catastrophical in both science and politics. One contradiction is enough to erase a whole system or civilisation. 

It is clear that Pål Jonson does not follow any logic beneficial to Swedish security. Whose logic is then Pål following? What is the real threat to Swedish security?

Why is Elsa Widding the only voice of rationality in the Swedish Parliament?

PS Key question for Pål to answer:

• Is the goal of Swedish participation in the Ukraine war to prevent Russia from reaching its goal of stopping expansion of NATO into Ukraine as a perceived existential threat?
• If so, how is this to be accomplished? 
• If not, what is the goal?
