Was Einstein Wrong?


A CERN experiment with neutrinos exceeding the speed of light has sent waves around the physics world by indicating that the basic postulate of Einstein's theory of relativity may not be
true, see press release and article and watch webcast.

This is yet another nail in the coffin of a sinking Einstein legacy, which I have explored in Many-Minds Relativity and Dr Faustus of Modern Physics.

Note that far away galaxies appear to recede from our galaxy with a speed of light much larger than the speed of light, because the light from these galaxies are observed to have a large red-shift. Thus, speeds larger than the speed of light is not a new discovery on astronomical scales, only on human scales.
