The QM is only used since a theory of thermodynamics and thus the second law of thermodynamics should be valid everywhere. The only way to get rid of statistical mechanics is to make sure that ones formulation of the second law also is valid for small QM. The theory therefore might look a bit "theoretical" but the theory is beautifully presented in their book "Thermodynamics: Foundation and applications".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500584444083499721.post-34152395115132583612011-02-22T16:10:35.129+01:002011-02-22T16:10:35.129+01:00Well, to go to QM to find a 2nd Law and irreversib...Well, to go to QM to find a 2nd Law and irreversibility does not appeal to me, since it is like trying to understand a human being by studying one singe cell as if the apparent mystery of a persons actions could be found there. Claes Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07411413338950388898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500584444083499721.post-83959641988101646092011-02-22T14:49:23.976+01:002011-02-22T14:49:23.976+01:00I would like to address the fact that the gentleme...I would like to address the fact that the gentlemen at MIT have already developed a mathematically robust, NON-STATISTICAL model called “Quantum thermodynamics”. This is a controversial theory and I will not address the validity of their theory but I think you could benefit from visiting their website for more information on this subject, www.quantumthermodynamics.org/.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500584444083499721.post-41923278942813504432011-02-22T13:20:10.404+01:002011-02-22T13:20:10.404+01:00Hej Claes - Det är precis det som dessa författare...Hej Claes - Det är precis det som dessa författare oxå vänder sig emot. Claes Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07411413338950388898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1500584444083499721.post-62528070411298480662011-02-22T08:44:22.463+01:002011-02-22T08:44:22.463+01:00Hej Claes
